Summary
ANo Man’s Skyfan has built a compact yet feature-rich base, complete with facilities ranging from multiple landing pads to an indoor fishing pool. The relatively small base stands out as a rarity in theNo Man’s Skycommunity, whose players usually tend to go for bigger bases.
WhenNo Man’s Skycame out in 2016, it was a far cry from the game it is today. Owing to developer Hello Games’s tireless work over the years, the sci-fi title has improved significantly with updates and swung the opinion of most players in its favor. In fact, the positive growth consequently enabledNo Man’s Skyto achieve an important distinction on Steam after eight years. The procedurally generated universe provides a fair share of diversity, both in terms of planets and in terms of activities, to keep the players engaged. One of the more popular hobbies among the game’s players is building different kinds of bases on various planets. Recently, a talentedNo Man’s Skyplayer indulged in the same and drew the attention of other players on social media.

On Reddit, user biquana shared pictures of their indoor fishing-compatible base, which received praise for being small yet full of useful features. The images depict a seemingly fine example of thebase building potential inNo Man’s Sky’s world. To be more precise, the compact structure contains multiple dome-like buildings, a pair of landing pads, and more, in the middle of what appears to be a lake. Notably, the house-like structure, at the far end in the first picture, contains a pool that allows the player to fish indoors, a feature that has earned plaudits in particular from others on Reddit.
No Man’s Sky Fan Shares Details About Their Small, Feature-Rich Base
In one of their replies, biquana revealed that the little island facing the indoor pool was the starting point of their base and also supports the entire structure on its own, giving the illusion of the base being constructed on water. Replying to another comment, they stated that the small base has everything they need, supporting the passionateNo Man’s Skyplayer’s material refiningrequirements as well as offering teleportation. Moreover, certain others commended the effort put in to maximize the usefulness of the small base, with one comment saying, “Functional and thoughtful bases like this are where it’s at!”
In December,No Man’s Skyreceived another update that further improved the game’s performance by fixing certain technical issues. Players can look forward to more such updates going into 2025, courtesy of the confirmation provided by Hello Games last month. For now, those who are playingNo Man’s Skyon PC can claim a custom starshipfor a limited time.
