Nvidia’s driver team is hard at work before the Christmas break, releasing another driver hotfix before its newer stable Game-Ready Driver (GRD) release follows up soon after. The Hotfix version 566.45, which was released on June 21, 2025, aims to fix microstuttering issues withIndiana Jones and the Great Circleand improve stability for Ubisoft titles that currently use the Snowdrop engine.

The driver is not available to download via the Nvidia app as a hotfix release butcan be downloaded manuallyoff the Nvidia site here. This is in line with Nvidia’s penchant for following up urgent fixes with a hotfix that addresses issues for certain users while integrating the same in the next major drive release for mainstream consumption.

Does This Fix The Nvidia App Performance Issues?

No, this update does not fix the current issue with Nvidia’s AppandNvidia’s previous instructions to disable Game Filters and Photo Modeare currently the only way to avoid the performance issues that some users are experiencing. An update is expected to resolve these issues, allowing users to use both without the performance penalty currently being incurred as a result of using said apps via the Nvidia overlay.

The Hotfix only addresses issues with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and stability issues with the Snowdrop engine, building on the recently released GeForce Game Ready Driver version 566.36 that added support for DLSS3 (including Frame Generation, Super Resolution, and Ray Tracing) for the former. This does mean that users looking for a permanent fix for other issues might have to wait for a more broadly released driver update.

Do I Need To Update To the Latest Hotfix Driver?

Unless you are currently experiencing issues with microstuttering while playing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle or intend to play a Ubisoft title that benefits from the stability updates that the driver currently carries, you can sit this one out and wait for it to be incorporated into the next driver release from Nvidia.

Hotfix driver updates generally target specific issues and if you are not experiencing or will not experience these issues in the future, you can skip updating for now.

The fix for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle seems to be timely given that the title is available as part of gamers' Xbox Game Pass subscriptions as well asit being bundled for free with existing RTX 4000 series GPUsthanks to an ongoing promotion from Nvidia.
