Tencent subsidiary Starry Studio has confirmed that the mobile port of its 2024 PvPvE open-world survival gameOnce Humanwill be released in April 2025. Despite theOnce Humanteam scrambling to address a series of issues,Once Humanhas enjoyed a steady player base as it continues to expand. Taking place after the so-called Starfall incident, which mutated most living things into Deviations, players control an enhanced Meta-Human as they struggle to survive in the post-apocalyptic landscape. Resource gathering, base and item crafting, and maintenance of the player’s sanity meter all feature heavily in the game.
In its end-of-year live stream, Starry Studio outlined the upcoming changes, additions, and technical developments in store forOnce Human, including a firm April 2025 release window for the game’s port to mobile devices. The team cited efforts to achieve compatibility and performance across a range of devices as the cause of the mobile port’s slow arrival. Also forthcoming are a trio of new PvE and PvP scenarios, including the 10-day “Code: Broken.” The new scenarios will be available in early access before their full release. Thelast new content released forOnce Humanwas September 2024’s The Way of Winter, which drew a mixed response from players, with bugs, awkward mechanics, and a lack of content being cited by many users.
Once Human Mobile Release Date
One of the more significant updates heading players' way is the new Visional Wheel, a periodically shifting tableau of in-game status, environmental, and mechanical effects that alter the balance and motivation of gameplay and will likely influencethe kinds of character buildsOnce Humanplayers utilize. The Visional Wheel arrives on January 16th, 2025. Also hinted at was the ability to host private servers, expected sometime in the first half of 2025, and an eventual port to consoles, for which no date was given. The studio also promised to be working to address issues in Evolution’s Call, including Stronghold Quest registration and the evolution of PvP intensity.
Whether the developer has responded to the reception of its previous content with the design of its upcoming additions remains to be seen. If not,Starry Studio may find itself giving away more consolation prizesto keep players returning to the game.
