Power scaling inOne Piecehas always sparked some interesting debates. Overall,One Pieceis a generally light-hearted story, where far weaker characters defeat much stronger opponents using strange techniques, and a little bit of luck. Most of the time, the winner of a fight isn’t always going to be the strongest character, as any number of factors, such as difficult terrain or help from friends, can give the weaker opponent a massive advantage. Due to this, it’s always a bit difficult to pick out who would win among the various characters ofOne Piece.
However, this doesn’t stop fans from constantly debating about their favorite matchups betweenthe strongestOne Piececharacters. One such matchup that constantly comes up time and time again is a fight between Luffy and the entire Straw Hat Crew. Although Luffy has grown to be quite strong over the years, many people consider a fight between Luffy and the Straw Hats to be an interesting, and close, battle.

Luffy And The Straw Hats Are An Extremely Strong Pirate Crew In One Piece
The Crew Is A Powerful That Works Well Together
Luffy, being an Emperor inOne Piece, holds a good deal of power. Possessing all three forms of Haki, including Advanced forms of all three, is an insanely powerful combatant. Additionally, his Awakened Devil Fruit, the Human-Human Fruit Model: Sun God Nikais extremely strong, giving Luffy the ability to turn the surrounding environment into rubber. This makes for some extremely fast, strong, and creative attacks, though it does come with a fairly strict time limit.
Don’t you dare make my navigator cry! - Luffy

As for the other Straw Hats, the top three fighters, Zoro, Sanji, and Jinbe, all possess strong Haki and incredible fighting abilities. Additionally, someone like Franky, while being decently strong, also possesses a diverse and powerful arsenal of equipment to deal with strong foes. Next, Robin andBrook’s interesting Devil Fruitsare extremely powerful support abilities for a fight. Finally, although they may be weaker than the rest, Chopper, Nami, and Usopp are very good planners, and are able to quickly pinpoint the weakness in their opponents.
Luffy Would Most Likely Lose Against The Straw Hat Crew
The Teamwork Of The Crew Can Defeat Far Stronger Opponents
Overall, as he currently stands inOne Piece, Luffy is definitely a fair amount stronger than someone like Zoro, the character many would consider to be the next strongest of the crew. However, as many fans have pointed out, when it comes to power differences between crew members, the Straw Hats resembleShanks’s Red Hair Piratesin the fact that every crew member is fairly equal in strength. While there may be a bit of a power gap now, many of the Straw Hats are most likely way stronger than they appear but haven’t had the chance to show off their latest attacks in a fight yet.
Still, outside of this speculation, overall, in a fight betweenthe Straw Hat Crew and Luffy, the Straw Hat Crew is most likely going to be victorious. Although many people believe that Luffy could quickly take out the weaker crew members to get them out of the way before launching a stronger attack, characters like Sanji and Zoro are far too close to Luffy in terms of power to just let him freely take out Nami or Usopp. At the same time, while Nami or Usopp would most likely be defeated in one or two hits, their individual attacks are still strong enough to cause serious damage to Luffy.

The Weakest Straw Hat Is Closer To Luffy In Power Than Most Think
On Enies Lobby Usopp Was Almost Equal To Luffy
Although he was much weaker back then, many fans were surprised to see how close Usopp came to defeating Luffy onOne Piece’sEnies Lobby. Now, with eight far stronger characters teaming up on Luffy as well, it would be an entirely different story. Despite the gap in power being a bit bigger than it was before, the number of Straw Hat Crew members has increased by three strong members since then as well, adding Brook, Franky, and Jinbe.
I wanna live in a world where all my friends can eat all the meat they want! - Luffy
Though it would be close overall, a 1v9 fight betweena strong Emperor of the Seaand one of the strongest crews in all ofOne Pieceis a bit unfair. If the fight was a series of 1v1 encounters back-to-back, Luffy may have a much better chance and would most likely win, but fighting everyone at the same time may be too much for Luffy as he currently stands. In the end, however, Luffy would never fight the Straw Hat Crew, outside an extraordinary and unlikely circumstance.
