The Figarland Family is one of the most powerful ones that fans have seen in the story. Although members of the Figarland Family were actually present inOne Pieceright from the beginning, this family was only elaborated upon recently, that is, starting the events ofOne Piece Film Red. The Figarland Family was mentioned in Film Red, immediately after a connection between Shanks and Uta was made public. Upon hearing this news, the Five Elders started wondering whether Uta was a member of the Figarland Family as well. This essentially means that Shanks was believed to be a member of the Figarland Family by the Five Elders.

Later on in the manga, fans were introduced to the head of the Figarland family, and this person was revealed to be none other than Saint Garling. Garling was once known as the Champion of God Valley who established himself as a legendary figure during the God Valley Incident, 38 years ago. In the current timeline, he was introduced as the Supreme Commander of the God’s Knights, a very powerful faction of Celestial Dragons who are in charge of just about everything in the Holy Land of Marijoa.
Saint Garling Figarland is quite easily one of the most powerful charactersinOne Piece, and this is evident from the fact that this individual was a well-renowned personality who went on to establish himself as a legendary figure on the island of God Valley. There, he fought against the likes of the Roger Pirates and the Rocks Pirates, and he emerged from this battle without even a single scratch, which just goes to show that his level of power is on a completely different scale.

Garling must’ve been very powerful, as is expected of an individual who bears the title of the Champion of God Valley. More recently, Saint Garling was promoted to the rank of Five Elders, and now, he is among the five mightiest individuals in the World Government. His power level should be around the same as the other Elders. Being only just one step below Imu in terms of authority and power, Garling is easily a monster. This confirms that he is an individual on the same level as the Yonko, if not even stronger.
Shanks Is Yet Another Figarland
Shanks Is The Roger Of This Generation
Another individual who belongs to the Figarland family that fans did not know about until recently is none other than Shanks. Shanks was introduced at the very beginning of the series and was established as a Yonko around the Water 7 Saga. He is currently considered to be arguably the strongest pirate in the world, and given his incredible strength, the fact that he belongs to the Figarland family only elevates the status of this legendary family more. Shanks is undoubtedly one of the mightiest pirates to sail the seas. In fact, his strength is such that he has been compared to Roger directly on many occasions. Shanks’s true strength has not even been seen, but he has been acknowledged by individuals such as Kaido already, and at the same time, is considered by many to be the next Roger.

Shanks Has A Powerful Twin
While Shanks and Garling alone make this family very strong, fans know that that is not all the Figarlands have to offer. The Figarland family of One Piece has yet another powerful member who was first seen in One Piece chapter 907, but was recently reintroduced in One Piece chapter 1134. This member is none other than Shanks’s twin brother. In terms of power, not much is known about this person, but the fact is that he serves in the ranks of the God’s Knights. After the ascension of Saint Garling Figarland to the Five Elders, it is highly likely that Shanks’s brother is now the new Supreme Commander of the Gods Knights. Clearly, just being Shanks’s brother is enough for the fans to know that this person is very strong. Furthermore, this person is now being built upas the main villain of the Elbaf Arc, which goes to show that the strength he possesses is going to be absolutely magnificent.
There might be more members of the Figarland family that fans have not been introduced to properly yet, but it is safe to say that they are already arguably the strongest family inOne Piece. If there is yet another member to add to their ranks, such as Shanks’s potential sister, then they would be the undisputed mightiest family that fans have seen in the story. But even without getting more members, their power is immaculate.
The Families That Can Rival The Figarlands
Only the Monkey D. Family can Rival The Figarlands
There are no elaborate families inOne Pieceas strong as the Figarlands, other than the Monkey D. family. The Monkey D. family is a very powerful bunch that includes Monkey D. Garp, Monkey D. Dragon, and of course, Yonko Monkey D. Luffy. All three of these characters possess legendary strength, and, on paper, they should be just as strong as the Figarlands, if not stronger. It is hard to say who is stronger, and it all depends on the portrayal of St. Garling Figarlandin the Final Saga, and that of Shanks’s twin. Regardless, it can be said that they are equally matched as of now, and the Figarlands have a fair shout of being the mightiest family inOne Piece.
This is especially true if one considers Garp’s age. Right now, Garp is quite old, and even though he’s quite strong, fans know that he’s not mighty enough to take down an official Yonko. On the other hand, Saint Garling will most likely be bestowed with the same immortality as the likes of the other Elders, which officially gives an edgeto the Figarland family for sure. In the Final Saga, their true power will be elaborated upon greatly, and fans absolutely cannot wait to see that.
