When Robin was younger and an outcast, due to her Devil Fruit, on Ohara Island, she had no friends, that is until she met the former Navy Admiral Jaguar, D. Saul. However, when it was revealed that the citizens of Ohara were studyingthe illegal language of Poneglyphs, the World Government sent the Navy to eradicate the island and the knowledge it held completely. As Robin was trying to escape, she was saved by Jaguar D. Saul, who, in turn, supposedly perished at the hands of Kuzan.

Additionally, it also shows a panel ofOne Piece’sRobin as a child, on the brink of giving up, turning this into an extremely bittersweet interaction. After this, the duo starts crying, saying how much they miss each other before the chapter ends.

This moment captures everything fans were hoping for in the reunion betweenRobin and Saul inOne Pieceand more. The super sweet initial interaction, paired with the nostalgic conversation about Robin’s mother, is already a recipe to get a few tears from long-term fans. However, the flashbacks of Robin as a child really cement how lost and alone she was over the years. Finally, with the return of her friend, it’s enough to make anyOne Piecefan burst out into tears, just like Sual and Robin.
