Those who have done their fair share of adventuring in Pocketpair’sPalworldknow by now that Palpagos is full of mythical wonders and dangerous challenges. This is one of the main reasons why the game has maintained its popularity and devoted fanbase since its astoundingly successful launch in January 2024. When it comes to tackling the various challenges found on each island, it’s not just about having the most powerful Pals imaginable, but an arsenal of the best and most unique weapons for your character.
One such weapon provided withPalworld’s Feybreak DLC is the Beam Sword, which is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after equipable items in the game. If you want to add this incredibly cool energy saber to your lineup, you’ll need to know what’s required to obtain it first.

How to Make Beam Sword in Palworld
Similar to other weapons inPalworld, to get theBeam Swordyou will need to craft it at your Pal base. To do that, you first need to unlock the recipe schematic for it by going to your Technology menu. The Beam Sword schematic is found at Level 57, so once you reach that level you can use your Technology Points to unlock it.
From there, you need to verify you have either a Weapon Assembly Line II or a Production Assembly Line II machine built and functioning at one of your bases. While the former can makeall unlockable weaponsin the game, either of these can make the Beam Sword, and the recipe remains the same. For the recipe itself, you’re going to need a mixture of both common and high-quality crafting materials that will take considerable effort to gather and make as well. In all, you’re going to need the following materials to craft the weapon:

30 x Hexolite
100 x Paldium Fragment

Gathered via Stone or Paldium boulders or Crusher machine
20 x Nightstar Sand
Gathered at night on Feybreak Island or Sand Dunes
5 x Ancient Civilization Parts
Dropped from Alpha Pals in open world areas or dungeons
Hexolite will be the most time-consuming of these materials, as you first need to build aGigantic Furnace(Level 56) at your base in order to make it. Once you have that unlocked in your Technology Menu, you will then need the following resources to build it:
Once you have the Gigantic Furnace built, you can then start making your Hexolite, which will require sums of Chromite (best found in Feybreak dungeons with the Metal Detector) and Hexolite Quartz, both of which are found on Feybreak Island. Just remember to be aware and cautious ofthe Anti-Aircraft basesscattered around the island that will shoot down any of your flying Pals, at least until they’re destroyed. You will also need plenty of Ore, which is found in abundance across Palpagos. The furnace itself requires a good bit of…ahem,fire-power, so utilizing Pals with Level 3 Kindling or higher is recommended.
As for getting Nightstar Sand, as mentioned above, you may find this unique material only during nighttime hours around two major areas on the map - Feybreak Island and Sand Dunes. You don’t need a tool like the Pickaxe to gather it, only your hands, and it doesn’t weigh much so you can collect plenty of it during a single run. Travel to a sandy area at night and look for glowing patches on the ground, which indicatenodes of Nightstar Sand. Gather as many of these as you can before the sun rises.
Once you’ve collected all of the aforementioned materials, go to either of your appropriate Assembly Line II machines and look for the Beam Sword schematic, which will be lit up if you have the materials available in your personal inventory and/or base inventory. Get your best Handiwork Pals working on it and in no time you’ll have a new Beam Sword ready for use.
The Beam Sword is currently the most powerful melee weapon inPalworldwith a staggering 2,000 Attack Power. This dwarfs other melee weapons such as the Sword, Katana, and the eccentric-lookingMeowmere blade. It uses a deadly dash-and-cut attack that can make quick work of up to Level 50-range Pals, if you’re adept at using it. It may not necessarily be recommended for Feybreak’s stronger Pals (Alpha, Predator, or Legendary) due to it requiring you to fight in close proximity versus using ranged weapons. Nonetheless, it is an entertaining weapon that, if anything, will look good in your collection.
