The Winter 2024 update also brought exciting gameplay additions, such as expeditions, Pal research, bounty NPCs, and more. Additionally, the max level cap has been raised to 60, allowing players to unlock advanced technologies like the Laser Gatling Gun and Hexolite Armor.

Best Ways To Get Chromite In Palworld
While Hexolite Quartz is scattered acrossFeybreak Island, finding Chromite is a bit more challenging. Chromite can be located usingSmokie’s Dig, Dog! Dig! partner skillor theMetal Detector. The Metal Detector becomes available at Technology level 56, while Smokie, a fox-like Pal, can be found in the northern region of Feybreak Island. To utilize their abilities, craft a Metal Detector or capture a Smokie and equip it with Smokie’s Harness to unlock its partner skill.
After acquiring Smokie’s Harness or crafting a Metal Detector, head to Feybreak Island to search for Chromite. The resource can befound inside Alpha Pal caves and dungeonslocated across the island.
Chromite Farming In Caves On Feybreak Island
Feybreak Island features a few caves inhabited byAlpha Palsand Bounty enemies. Once you defeat the Alpha Pal in a cave, you’re able to use the Metal Detector or Smokie’s partner skill to uncover up to four Chromite nodes. How To Mine Chromite In Palworld
Once you locate a Chromite node, use a pickaxe or a mining Pal to extract it. Pals likeDigtoise and Rushoarare particularly suited for mining ore nodes. Each node yields approximately 25 pieces of Chromite.

Mining Chromite can become tedious, especially when relying on tools or Pal skills. Luckily, there are alternative methods:
Defeating Silvegis
Silvegis, a four-foot dragon-like Alpha Pal, drops 2–3 Chromite upon defeat.Silvegis spawns in a cave at coordinates -987, -1029, near theShield Dragon Tunnelfast travel point. Alternatively, you can hatch Silvegis from Huge Dragon Eggs found on Feybreak Island. Breeding Silvegis allows you to farm eggs and harvest Chromite bybutchering the newborn pals. Although this method may not be the most humane, it remains a dependable way to farm Chromite.
Pal Expeditions
Expeditions introduced in theFeybreak updateprovide Chromite as a reward. Send your Pals to these locations:
Expeditions to Feybreak take about an hour and yield30-50 Chromite, along with other valuable items like Ultimate Spheres, Exotic Spheres, and Giant Pal Souls. If you haven’t reached Feybreak Island, expeditions to Brothers of the Eternal Pyre’s Black Market provide 15-30 Chromite.
