Quick Links
Path of Exile 2has been released into early access, providing not onlya full-length campaignacross 3 acts but a complete endgame system for players to grind as well. Featuring an infamously robust character customization tree enablinglimitless creativity in build creation, players are able to tackle the trials of Wraeclast in whatever way they feel best fit.
Across the player’s journey through the campaign, various objectives will provide players with permanent upgrades to their character, including extra skill points, free resistance and life, and more. While some of these bonuses are provided by completing quests, many others are rewarded for killing optional bosses and completing missable interactions not recorded by a player’s quest log.

All Permanent Bonuses from the Campaign
Permanent bonuses obtained from the campaign can represent a significant portion of a character’s power, both offensively in the form of extra Weapon Set Passive Skill Points, spirit, and mana regeneration, as well as defensively in the form of maximum life, resistances, and increased charm charge generation. Additionally, these skippable objectives can also unlock major crafting options, such as the salvage bench and reforging bench. In total, permanent bonuses from the campaign include:
Permanent Bonuses in Act 1
Act 1 features six missable bonuses, including one of three available spirit upgrades, as well as the salvage bench which allows players to convert unwanted items into crafting currency.
Candlemass, The Living Rite
Permanent Bonuses in Act 2
While Act 2 only includes 4 permanent upgrades, it includes the first choice players have to make between two stat bonuses as part ofthe Ancient Vows questline. Fortunately, players are able to return to the Valley of the Titans and change their selection at will.
Keth
Kabala, Constrictor Queen
Choice between 30% increased charm charges gained, or 15% increased mana recovery from flasks
Valley of the Titans

The Spires of Deshar
Sisters of Garukhan
Unlike most other permanent upgrades, the Sister of Garukhan objective does not drop a consumable item granting players the lightning resistance bonus. Instead, the bonus is immediately granted upon interacting with the shrine, displaying a message confirming the granted bonus, and spawning a group of enemies shortly after.
Permanent Bonuses in Act 3
The final act available in early access, Act 3 features another choice between stat upgrades, but unlike in Act 2’s Ancient Vows reward, the choice in Act 3 is permanent. The reforging bench is also unlocked here, allowing players to recycle three items of equal rarity and type into a newly rolled item.
The Azak Bog
Ignagduk, The Bog Witch
Choice between 25% increased stun threshold, or 30% increased elemental ailment threshold, or 25% increased mana regeneration rate
Aggorat
Blood Sacrifice
The Blood Sacrifice objective requires players to first obtain a Sacrificial Heart, a random drop from monsters in Aggorat or Utzaal. Once obtained, it must be brought to an altar in Aggorat, using the sacrificial knife nearby to complete the ritual.
Permanent Bonuses in Cruel Difficulty
As of early access, only three acts are currently available out of the six acts planned for the game’s full release. To compensate, the game transitions players into Cruel difficulty upon completing Act 3, allowing players to journey through a more difficult version of the campaign while retaining all their items and stats.Identical permanent bonuses are also available throughout the Cruel difficulty campaign, with only some minor adjustments, including:
As Cruel difficulty is currently a placeholder for the unreleased fourth, fifth, and sixth acts, it is possible that the permanent upgrades granted in the second half of the campaign may change when they are released.
