The Hatch Day event will take place on Sunday, December 29, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. The event will offer an increased chance to encounterShiny versions of fan-favorite Pokemon, along with a variety of appealing bonuses and rewards. During Charged Embers Hatch Day, Elekid and Magby will appear more frequently in 2 km Eggs. Players can also benefit from double Candy for hatching Eggs and an improved chance of obtaining 2 km Eggs from PokeStops. Players chasing Shiny Pokemon will have a better chance of hatching Shiny Elekid and Shiny Magby.

When is Pokemon GO’s Charged Embers Hatch Day?

Players will also have access to special Timed Research tasks. A free Timed Research option will reward players with a Super Incubator and experience points as long as they finish the tasks before the event ends. For those who want even more rewards, a paid Timed Research option is available, offering extras like a Star Piece, an additional Super Incubator, and even more XP. Niantic has also introduced a Charged Embers Hatch Day Extended Bonus running from December 27 to December 29 to help players get the most out of this event. During this time, the distance needed to hatchPokemon GOEggsplaced in Incubators will be cut in half, making it easier and faster to hatch more Eggs and get ready for the main event.

Charged Embers Hatch Day adds up to the recently announcedPokemon GONew Year’s 2025 event, running from December 30 to January 1. During the New Year’s event, players can earn 2,025 XP for every Pokemon caught with an Excellent Throw, and special Raids will offer Shiny costumed Pokemon as rewards.
