Niantic recently released a teaser video hinting that Sprigatito will bePokemon GO’s January 2025 Community Day Pokemon. TheGeneration 9 Grass-type starter, Sprigatito is easily one of the most popular Pokemon to come out of thePokemon Scarlet and Violetgames. This is in no small part thanks to Sprigatito being one of the featured Pokemon in thePokemon Horizonsanime series. ThePokemon GOSprigatito Community Day will take place on Sunday, January 5, so fans should mark their calendars accordingly.
Pokemon GO: When is Sprigatito Community Day?
Niantic recently revealed thefull list ofPokemon GOCommunity Day dates for Season 17. The first will take place on December 21 and December 22. On those days,Pokemon GOwill be flooded with the Community Day Pokemon that were featured throughout 2024. In usual Community Day fashion,Pokemon GOplayers will also be able to enjoy a wide variety of additional bonuses that day. Needless to say, anyone that may have taken a break fromPokemon GOthis year should definitely consider jumping back in on December 21 and December 22 to help catch up.
The Sprigatito Community Day will take place on January 5, followed by a Community Day Classic on January 25. The identity of theCommunity Day Classic Pokemonon January 25 has yet to be revealed, but it will likely be an older Community Day Pokemon that hasn’t been featured in a Classic event yet. That would rule out Bulbasaur, Mudkip, Dratini, Larvitar, Swinub, Squirtle, Charmander, Mareep, Porygon, Bagon, Cyndaquil, and Beldum. But it’s always possible, though unlikely, Niantic will host a re-run, soPokemon GOfans should keep that in mind.
After that, the next Community Day is scheduled for July 25, 2025. February 2025 should be a particularly big day forPokemon GOfans in general, asFebruary 27 will mark the next Pokemon Dayand will likely include all kinds of special announcements about the popular augmented reality mobile game.
