Several events have been held in the weeks following its release, allowing players to snag rare cards and other goodies by logging in each day or participating in battles. The newest event, however, offersPokemon TCG Pocket’s toughest challenge to date.

Launched on December 9 and running until December 16, the Genetic Apex SP Emblem Event 1 is the latestPvP event inPokemon TCG Pocket. Players must win consecutive (and increasingly difficult) battles to earn special emblems that can be displayed on their in-game profile, and losing a battle will reset all progress. Unique emblems can be earned by winning two, three, four, and five consecutive battles, with the top emblem sporting a gold and purple crown and matching ribbon.

Along with emblems, the newGenetic Apex SP Emblem Event 1features 10 special missions that will reward players with Pack Hourglasses and Shinedust by participating in battles. Snagging these rewards is much easier, however, as Event Battles aren’t necessary, meaning that players can compete against friends or take part in random battles for a less competitive experience. In total, completing these 10 missions will reward players with 24 Pack Hourglasses and 3,850 Shinedust.
According to developers, new booster packs will be added toPokemon TCG Pocketby the end of 2024, with fans eagerly awaiting more details as the year draws to a close. Thankfully,Genetic Apex booster packswill remain inPokemon TCG Pocketfollowing the next expansion, meaning that players don’t need to rush to complete their Pokedex. Starting in January 2025, players will also be able to trade “certain cards,” with the new feature slowly rolling out over time. The next event is rumored to be the Bulbasaur and Magnemite Wonder Pick Event 2, though this is currently unconfirmed.
