On the r/PTCGP subreddit, a user named Lofus1989 discussed how Druddigon could be used to take down someoverpowered cards in the Mythical Island set. With Druddigon being a Basic Pokemon, it can immediately be placed in the Active Spot if pulled within a player’s opening hand as a wall that can allow players to set up their Benched Pokemon for later turns. Druddigon’s Rough Skin also acts as a deterrent against some early attacks, as the damage can add up with each turn. Paired with cards that decrease Retreat costs, Druddigon can allow a Pokemon like Rapidash or Greninja to swap in and knock out the opposing Active Pokemon after letting Rough Skin deal some early chip damage.
