One of the highlights of the Terastal Festival ex is the new Eevee and Eeveelutions cards in illustrations depicting the Pokemon in their Terastallized forms. The rest of the subset is mostly made up of new prints of cards released in 2023 and 2024, including reprints of the coveted ex cards. Pokemon TCGcard Palafin ex has been given a new illustration by Tetsuo Hara, the illustrator of the renowned mangaFist of the North Star, and its prequel,Fist of the Blue Sky. With an artwork filled with bright colors, the artist depicts the Gen 9 Pokemon throwing a series of punches. This is a classic reference to the barrage of punches used by Kenshiro, theprotagonist ofFist of the North Star, to defeat his opponents.

Palafin has fourPokemon TCGcards released so far, including an ex card introduced in May this year with the release of theTwilight Masqueradeexpansion, the sixth of theScarlet and Violetera, which introduced 226 new cards in English. The Palafin ex card has two illustrations from the expansion made by PLANETA Mochizuki, one of which is an ultra-rare print. The same artist is responsible for the artwork for the SVP Black Star Promos series, with Tetsuo Hara’s artwork being the card’s fourth illustration.
With the release of the Gen 9 games,Pokemon TCG fanssaw the arrival of the Paldea region through a series of related releases. The first was the self-titled expansion, released in March last year with 258 cards. The most recent is theSurging Sparksexpansion, which arrived in November with 252 cards. One of the set’s highlights is the introduction of new Tera Pokemon cards and ACE SPEC, a powerful new card type first introduced in 2012 with theBoundaries Crossedset.
