Secret Level Season 2 Confirmed

Secret Level’ssecond half was only just released, but Amazon is already confident enough to put a second season of the new TV series into production. Amazon made the announcement onSecret Level’sofficial social accounts, confirming more episodes of the show, featuring new video games, are on the way. The streamer also revealed thatSecret Levelhad the largest debut for an animated series on the platform, which is significant considering Prime Video is also home toInvincibleandThe Legend of Vox Machina. This marks another win for the streamer in the video game adaptation space, with Prime Video’sFalloutrecently scoring Best Adaptation at the Game Awards.

What Games Could Secret Level Season 2 Adapt?

No further details about the release window or plot of the upcoming second season were revealed. TheSecret Levelcreatives, Tim Miller and Dave Wilson, have been vocal in the past about the many video game projects they would love to tackle in future episodes, tellingScreen Rant that aPongepisode was a possibility, as well as potentiallyFortnite. Fans of the show have also chimed in online, with many calling for their favorite games to get a dedicated episode, such asGears of War, BioShock, andDead Space.

Secret Level’sfirst season consisted of 15 episodes all focused on a different IP. That leaves plenty of games untouched for potential episodes in Season 2. However, the series may need to avoid certain stories that are already in production, with Prime Video already working on its own dedicatedGod of WarandMass Effectseries. This appetite for gaming adaptations is not slowing down, with dozens of projects already in development at different Hollywood studios. Perhaps there will also be room for the series to tie into the marketing of new games as it did withSeason 1’s dark PAC-MAN episode, which ended up connecting to a real game that was announced at the Game Awards.

Secret LevelSeason 1 is now streaming on Prime Video.
