Keith Watson from the Daily Telegraph found the series “remarkable, unique [and] mind-bending” because it leaves the viewer to “think long and hard.” Variety’s Allison Herman also gave the second season a thumbs up because it hit whatever its goal was. “Whatever the destination Severance is aiming for, the journey dramatizes the arbitrary rules and compartmentalized nature of modern work better than anything else on air,” she wrote. Collider’s Carly Lane also approved ofSeveranceSeason 2. She even predicted it would be “one of the 2025’s best shows.”
