While fans and critics alike praisedSpace Marine 2at launch, Saber Interactive has managed to maintain that momentum months later thanks in large part to continuous updates, both with fixes to various issues as well as new content. In fact,Space Marine 2recently released Update 5, a massive patch that added new enemies, season pass content, and an Operation for players to check out. Even with continued additions of content, fans have been waiting for one weapon in particular to arrive in game.
Recently,Space Marine 2featured in Amazon’sSecret Levelseries, joining franchises likeDungeons and Dragons,Mega Man,Pac Man, and more. TheSpace Marine 2episode seems to have been one of the standouts for many, serving as a sequel to the game as Titus continues his battle against heretics. The episode also featured an axe-style weapon which seemed to catch the attention of many, as it actually isn’t part of the game.
Space Marine 2 Modding Community Adds The Power Axe
Naturally,Space Marine 2fans want Saber to add the Secret Level axeas DLC, though as of now, there has been no news. It didn’t take long for the community to react though, as the Warhammer Workshop modder recently releasedAstartes Overhaul 2.0, which has answered the call by adding the Power Axe fromSecret Level. NOt only that, the mod has added a handful of additional weapons, new customization options, enhanced certain enemies, crafted new Operations, and other general enhancements.
Whether or not Saber Interactive eventually adds the Power Axe, it’s clear that the developer has big plans for the future of the game. Recently, a handful of leaks appeared online, with one in particular seeminglyconfirming plans for even moreSpace Marine 2seasons, all the way through to season 9. Dataminers have even discovered evidence of a new faction, playable classes, and a feature called the Research Center, which many have assumed to be the expansion of the Battle Barge.
