Echo Detector - Basic Artifact Detector
Players get the Echo Detectorat the beginning ofStalker 2and use it for a good chunk of the game. It’s a small yellow device with a light tube in the middle that strobes when an artifact is in detection range.
Thestrobe and beeping frequency intensify, depending on whether the artifact is close or far away from the player’s position. It’s a basic artifact detector that gets the job done, but honing in on an artifact can be a bit time-consuming.

Bear Detector - Best Early Game Artifact Detector
Players get the Bear detector either duringA Sign of Hope side missionor from one of the vendors inStalker 2. It’s an upgrade over the basic Echo Detector as it displays avisual indicatorfor the distance between the player and the artifact.
The Bear artifact detector has rings around its main display that gradually start to light up, depending on how far or close you are to the artifact. Once all rings light up, it means you’re right on top of the artifact’s location, and it’ll successfully spawn.
Easy to understand 360 radar display that shows artifact position and direction.

Hilka Detector - Detector With the Longest Range
Hilka is one of the more advanced artifact detectors inStalker 2that players can get duringthe Mysterious Case side missionfrom Sultan inStalker 2. It displays numbers that correlate to an artifact’s location within an anomalous field. If the numbers start to decrease, it means players are getting close to the artifact and vice versa.
The longest artifact detection range in the game is with a numeric visual indicator of how far an artifact is.
There is no directional indicator which makes players move back and forth a lot to pinpoint an artifact in an anomalous field.
Veles Detector - Best Artifact Detector In Stalker 2
Veles is the best artifact detector inStalker 2that players can get as a reward for completingthe “In Search of Past Glory” main mission. It has aradar on its display unitthat pinpoints the location of an artifact within an anomalous field. In addition to the artifact’s position, it alsodisplays any harmful anomaliesthat can damage the players nearby.
It shows the exact location of an artifact and other anomalies on its radar display.
Only detects artifacts and anomalies if players are directly facing them.
