Summary
Taco Bellis introducing a brand new product: chicken nuggets. The addition may surprise fans of the Mexican food-inspired restaurant chain, but Taco Bell is shaking up the formula, making chicken nuggets not quite like anyone else’s.
When thinking of chicken nuggets, the first thing that might come to mind isMcDonald’s. The golden arches has been a home for McNuggets for decades, and while the recipe has changed some over time, they’ve remained a popular choice on the menu for just as long. Many chains like Burger King or Wendy’s have similar offerings, but Taco Bell’s will be a bit different.
Taco Bell is now introducing chicken nuggets to its restaurants with a Mexican-inspired twist. Instead of solely bread crumbs or panko, thechicken nuggetsare being coated with bread crumbs and tortilla chip breading, giving the nuggets a crunchy and familiar taste to fans of the chain. The chicken itself is marinated in “zesty” jalapeno buttermilk, which should provide a flavor kick. The restaurant is hoping that the nuggets can draw the attention of chicken nugget fans and perhaps give them a new favorite to enjoy. The chicken nuggets will officially launch in Taco Bell stores on December 19 nationwide.
Taco Bell Partners with Hidden Valley for Chicken Nuggets
Of course, part of the chicken nugget experience is dipping them in flavorful sauces. WhileTaco Bellinherently has a wide variety of hot sauces available, the restaurant has partnered with Hidden Valley Ranch to introduce three unique dips. This includes a signature “Bell Sauce,” Jalapeno Honey Mustard, and Hidden Valley Fire Ranch Sauce. Bell Sauce is described as rich and creamy with hints of garlic and red chilies. Jalapeno Honey Mustard is both spicy and sweet, which should create a good balance. Hidden Valley Fire Ranch Sauce fuses Hidden Valley Ranch with Taco Bell’s own Fire sauce.
Interested customers will be able to try out the nuggets at Taco Bell with a 5 piece for $3.99, or a 10-piece for $6.99. The restaurant will also be offering a variety of meals and combos that include the nuggets alongside their other restaurant favorites, like crunchy tacos, chalupas, and Nacho Fries. Fans who are interested in giving them a try shouldn’t wait, as with many Taco Bell promotions, this is a limited time offer. If successful, it seems likely thatthe chicken nuggetswill be brought back on occasion, as has been the case with things like the Nacho Fries in the past.
