As fans prepare for the final season ofThe Boys, they’re well aware that it’s going to be a pretty long wait. However, if fans of the Amazon Prime series have to wait until 2026 to see the series finale, at least they know one of the show’s biggest stars is definitely coming back. That’s especially good news following some rumors flying around the internet that there might have been some depatures before the final season started filming.
The Boysfans should be pleased about Jessie T. Usher’s return for the fifth and final installment because his character was one of the only members of The Seven who seemed to beon a real redemption arc. While his character started out as someone who was so self-involved he was willing to force his girlfriend to have an overdose in order to stop her from potentially harming his chances of making it even bigger, the last few seasons have seen A-Train develop more of a conscience and start to realize the way The Seven lived wasn’t morally right.

A-Train Coming Back For One Last Ride On The Boys
Now, Usher has officially confirmed he’scoming back for Season 5 ofThe Boys. “One thing about my [The Boys] fam… we gon eat, before we get cooking… our bellies are full. hearts are too. here comes S5,” he wrote in an since expired Instagram Story (perComicBook.com). His message referred to an earlier post with a photo ofThe Boyscast having dinner. The photo teased Season 5 had started filming, bringing back the ensemble for one last ride.
A-Train’s attempt at a redemption arc has been going on for multiple seasons, but finally took a hard turn after he tried to impress his brother Nate by making Blue Hawk apologize for his actions at a community center. Unfortunately, things went so wrong that a brawl ensured and Blue Hawk crippled Nate.A-Train retaliated by killing Blue Hawkat the Season 3 Herogasm, but in doing so, he also nearly killed himself as his already damaged heart couldn’t take the speed he was running at.
A-Train’s transformation into what passesfor a good guy in The Boys as he surreptitiously went up against Vought and Homelander, passing information to Butcher’s crew and even eventually fighting on their side when events forced him to show his true colors.
It certainly would have been an odd turn of events if The Boys wasn’t able to make sure that all of its main characters returned for one more season. Especially with filming already starting earlier this fall. Nevertheless, there were some who were concerned that Usher had decided to move on, ahead of shooting. Instead he’ll join the main cast as well as returning actors like Jensen Ackles who is poised to once again take on the role of Soldier Boy and it’s even possible he will once again go up against Homelander when all is said and done.
The BoysSeason 5 is expected to launch in 2026
