The game introduced its first seasonal content with a bigElder Scrolls: Castlesupdate in October, which included a two-week-long Witch Festival in which players could experience exclusive spooky-themed storylines centered around the Halloween season.

Now entering its first winter,The Elder Scrolls: Castlesis set to launch a pair of holiday-based events, Saturalia and Old Life/New Life, which are set to run from December 21-24, 2024. Not much has been revealed about what these two simultaneous events will contain, but the developers are promising the arrival of special seasonal characters and limited-time winter decor that players can use to decorate their castles.
As noted by the game’s official Twitter account, the update also brings with it two brand-new features. The first is a Quick Quest feature that should significantly speed up the game’s questing portions by having them play out automatically. Players can more easily manage theirElder Scrolls: Castlessubjects' gear by making use of the Auto-Equip button, ensuring that they’re kitted out in the best gear to take on their assigned quests. To further speed things up, a new 2X Speed option has been added for subjects on quests, and players can also replay quests from the victory screen and see each quest’s static rewards upon repeat completion.
The second new feature provides players with greater ability to interact with in-game friends, allowing them to visit each other’s castles and receive gifts from them. In addition to these two big changes, the game now hands out better rewards for taking down boss dragons on normal maps, rewarding players with Legendary subjects full of some of thebest traits inThe Elder Scrolls: Castles.
