Summary
Ultimate abilitiesare an ace-in-the-hole that everyMarvel Rivalscharacter can use to help them out during an intense fight. Thankfully though, each of these abilities has pretty lengthy cooldowns, meaning they can’t just be thrown out constantly, but this also means that players will need to ensure they use them to full effect when they are activated since they’ll usually only get 2 to 3 with each match.
While some ultimates are easy to use and get the hang of, such as the Punisher’s gatling guns or Luna Snow’s dance bubble, there are others that, while immensely powerful, require a little more skill and strategic thinking for them to make any kind of impact. While many players will focus on perfecting the abilities and attack pattern of a new character when learning them, in the case of these heroes and villains listed below, it can also be worth going over their ultimates at least a few times in the practice range too, considering how difficult they can be to pull off.

8Wolverine
Ultimate Ability: Launch Up Enemies And Then Spiral Through The Air, Delivering A Devastating Ground Pound. The Impact Deals Extra Damage Based On Rage Accumulated.
In order to deal enough damage to kill or at least severely weaken Wolverine’s opponents with his Last Stand ability, players will first need to try and get theRage meteras high as possible. Rage can be earned by either taking damage or dealing it, and as a result, it means players will want to take at least somewhat of a beating before throwing out the X-Man’s ultimate. Otherwise, it’s just not going to have much of an effect.
It can also be a challenging Ultimate to use properly because of its 2-stage set-up, which starts off with Wolverine launching an enemy into the air, before then turning into a ground pound. This can be used quite strategically to move an enemy Vanguard or Duelist to the backlines, keeping them away from Wolverine’s allies for a few moments, though doing so requires precise aim and timing.

7Adam Warlock
Ultimate Ability: Awaken The Karma Of Allies To Revive Them. Allies Revived Have Lower Health But Enjoy Brief Invincibility.
The ability to revive allies is always seen as an incredibly powerful and even game-breaking ability in some instances for hero shooters, but developers NetEase ensured that it wouldn’t be all that easy to execute in the case ofAdam Warlock. For one, this ultimate comes with a fairly lengthy startup animation, leaving Warlock completely defenseless while he resurrects those who have fallen around him.
The other drawback is that the range of the ability is very limited, stretching out only a few inches around Warlock himself, meaning if he isn’t virtually standing on the corpse, then it won’t be coming back to life. Using Warlock’s ultimate to full effect can take some team coordination and a skilled player who is able to always remain close to his teammates.

6Dr. Strange
Ultimate Ability: Separate Nearby Enemies' Souls From their Bodies. Damage Dealt To The Souls Is Transferred To Their Physical Bodies.
Strange and Hawkeye have very similar Ultimate abilities, though Strange’s is a lot trickier to properly utilize, and requires careful coordination with the rest of the team to use effectively. Essentially, when Strange uses the Eye of Agamotto, he will reveal green outlines of the enemies for a few seconds, which gives him and his comrades enough time to deal considerable damage, if they know the ability is coming, that is.
This is ultimately what makes the ability so hard to pull off, since it only lasts for a very brief period and can easily be wasted if teammates don’t capitalize, or if there are simply not enough enemies to use it on. Making a quick callout to let everyone know that Strange’s Ultimate is ready to be unleashed is always better than throwing it out randomly.

5Peni Parker
Ultimate Ability: Travel At High Speeds And Launch Up Enemies In Peni’s Path While Also Deploying Arachno-Mines And Spider Drones.
As soon as players activate their ultimate when playing as Peni, they’ll immediately gain a movement boost as her SP//DR suit goes into overdrive, charging straight forwardand slashing at any enemies who get in her way. This can already make the ability a little clunky to use, considering it can be all too easy to charge head-first into a wall, or just overshoot the enemy team entirely, but there are also other weapons that players need to be aware of.
Arachno-Mines and Spider-Drones can be deployed around the floor liberally when Peni is in her ultimate form, but while it can be easy to drop them randomly, being able to take out enemies on low health, rather than just focusing on Vanguards, can be a much more efficient strategy to go with. Still, doing this is much easier said than done considering how quick this ultimate is, only giving players a few seconds to deal the maximum amount of damage possible as they charge around the battlefield.

4Cloak & Dagger
Ultimate Ability: Perform Three Rapid Dashes, Hearing Allies, And Damaging Enemies Along The Path.
Both Cloak and Dagger have vastly different abilities, essentially making them two unique characters all rolled into one, but they do share the same ultimate ability, that being Eternal Bond. As one of the fastest ultimates in the game, this is an attack that can easily be wasted in the blink of an eye if players aren’t aware of how and when to use it.
The ability sees the deadly duo performing three dashes which willheal alliesand damage enemies as they pass through them. Since these dashes are fairly short-ranged, and only give players a few seconds to readjust their position after each one, it can take a good amount of practice to get used to, but it’s well worth testing out considering it can act as a handy lifeline when the team is on their last legs.

3Winter Soldier
Ultimate Ability: Leap High Into The Air And Slam Down To Deal Damage With Winter Soldier’s Biotic Arm. Damaged Enemies Will Be Marked For ‘Culling’, And If Killed, It Will Recharge The Ultimate For Another Attack.
To put it simply, Winter Soldier’s ultimate attack is a giant ground pound that dealssignificant AOE damage. However, this is only the tip of the iceberg, as enemies who are damaged will be marked, and if killed in time, will give Bucky another chance to perform a subsequent ground pound, which, needless to say, can result in a pretty chaotic killing spree.
While the ground pound part is easy enough, being able to quickly pick off Bucky’s marked enemies with his 3-shot revolver, all while the opponents focus all their fire on him, is no easy attack. This is an ability that holds the potential to write out an entire team, though only the most skilled of Bucky players can achieve this without being killed in the process.

2Loki
Ultimate Ability: Shapeshift Into A Targeted Ally Or Enemy Hero And Use All Of Their Abilities
As the shapeshifter of the Marvel universe, it only makes sense that Loki would possess an ability that allows him to mimic the appearance of others. However, Loki’s ultimate will also grant him all of the abilities of whoever he chooses to copy, essentially meaning that players need to have at least a decent grasp of their copy to contribute to the fight.
At the same time, it can also be difficult to choose who exactly to shapeshift into when in the middle of a chaotic gunfight. Being able to decide when to turn into a healer to help out the team, or a tank to draw some attention away, can be difficult to pull off, making for a challenging character who possesses an incredibly tricky ultimate ability to suitthe trickster himself.

1Scarlet Witch
Ultimate Ability: Engage in Free-Flight While Charging Energy, Then Unleash It To Deal Massive Damage.
Scarlet Witch possesses one of the deadliest ultimate attacks in the games. The way it works is pretty similar to Junkrat and DVA’sultimates fromOverwatch, acting as a giant explosion that will deal heavy damage to anyone caught in the blast. The difference, though, is that players are actually able to control Scarlet Witch’s movements as she charges up the attack.
When Reality Erasure is being activated, Scarlet Witch will let out a loud screech while a warning symbol pops above her head. This makes her an easy target for the enemy team to take out, which makes it difficult to use the attack without getting shot down in the process. The best way to overcome this is either to float down from the sky so as not to be in direct sight of the enemy, or use it while flanking around the side of the team to catch them off guard.
