According to Niklas Mikkelsen, Co-Founder of Something We Made, the development team will consist of many of the same people who worked on the firstTOEM, along with some new talent to bring “fresh energy” to the project. The goal of the project is to make something that “can stand proudly beside the original game” by “celebrating what worked” and making improvements to that beloved formula. While the developer looks to be targeting a 2026 release, a specific date has not been revealed.
Despite not many details about the project being known, Something We Made has described the game as a “brand new adventure” featuring thecurious photographer fromTOEM. The game looks to feature many more memorable characters and will have secrets for players to uncover while they take pictures of the world. The game is coming to PC via the Steam platform, and while console releases are planned, no concrete details about those have been divulged.
It is exciting to see Something We Made get another chance to work on theTOEMproperty. The first title was fondly remembered by many gamers, so hopefully, this new project will let the development team improve on the already successful premise.
