Summary
The world ofSTALKER 2is a hostile and dangerous place. In addition to dealing with deadly anomalies and violent factions, players will also have tokeep an eye out for the various mutantsand curiosities that have evolved within The Zone. While each enemy presents unique challenges, some are certainly more difficult to deal with than others.
Different areas of The Zone will have their own enemies and creatures. While some like bandits, dogs, hogs, and fleshes may appear across multiple areas, others are less common and, therefore, usually more difficult to defeat. Fortunately, there are more than enough good weapons to counteract these vicious enemies, so players can rest assured knowing that there is usuallya high-velocity solution for every one of them.

8Snork
Mutant Humans With A Deadly Bite
Snorks are quite vicious mutants often found in caves or scrapyards, and they are characterized by their quick movements, leaping attacks, and theirtrademark hose-filtered gas masks. They can also be heard growling like animalistic predators.
Fortunately, a Snork can be taken down relatively easily since they do not have a high amount of health. The best weapon to use against them is usually a shotgun or high-powered pistol, which should be able to finish them in 2-4 shots.

7Zombie
Possessed Soldiers Who Aimlessly Wander The Zone
Zombies are lost Stalkers who have fallen under psi-radiation, either from weather effects in the Zone or animals such as Controllers and Psi-dogs. These unfortunate soldiers can use their weapons and will shoot, but they will not use cover, instead marching blindly towards their target.
Zombies must be killed with a headshot, and even using grenades or high-powered shotguns will not finish them off unless aimed at the head. However, even the smallest of pistols will also kill them(provided a headshot is landed), so it may be best to use up the less valuable ammunition.

6Bloodsucker
Ferocious Predators Who Can Turn Invisible
Those who have encountered a Bloodsucker in The Zone will likely struggle to forget it. These horrible mutants make a terrifying sound, and they blink in-and-out of invisibility, usually spawning right next to the player in an attacking range.
Bloodsuckers can be tough to deal with, especially since they attack sporadically and frequently retreat. One of the best methods for dealing with them is to create chokepoints and force them to travel through corridors or doorways where the player can unload on them. Out in the open, the best hope is often to simply spray and pray.

5Controller
Mind-Altering Psi-Based Mutants
Controllers are one of thetoughest enemies inSTALKER 2for a number of reasons. In addition to their mind-control powers, which include casting damaging hallucinations and drawing players into an out-of-body experience, they often command a gang of Zombies, too.
Unlike Zombies, Controllers can be damaged anywhere on their bodies, but they can withstand a fair deal of punishment before going down. Grenades and Assault Rifles will do the trick from afar, but if players can get closer,a shotgun will work even better. Players should verify to have plenty of psi-blockers on hand to combat the Controller’s psi-effects.

4Pseudogiant
The Zone’s Very Own Frankensteinian Monster
Pseudogiants are one of the gnarliest and ugliest creatures inSTALKER 2. They aretypically found in the Red Forestand can absorb a huge amount of punishment before going down. Similar to regular Fleshes, these monstrous creatures will bound around on all fours and launch swiping attacks.
Taking them down is done easiest with a shotgun, but any of the more powerful weapons will do if the player fires enough bullets. Fortunately, Pseudogiants present a relatively large target, so hitting them will be easier than it would be for some of the more agile foes.

3Psydog
Annoying Predators With Clone Duplicates
Psydogs might not be thehardest enemies to kill inSTALKER 2, but they are undoubtedly one of the most annoying to deal with. Creating duplicates of themselves, Psydogs will send clone-hallucinations to attack the player while they remain at a distance.
These enemies are rarely worth the hassle or the ammunition if encountered in the open, so the best course of action is often to simply run away. If aSTALKER 2player sees a dog running away from after an attack or standing still at a distance while the clones attack, this is likely the original Psydog, andkilling it will dispel all the other hallucinations.

2Burer
Tough Shamanic Mutants With Very Strong Powers
Burers are another psi-based enemy who have considerably advanced powers over many other mutants. In addition to using their magic to disarm the player, they can also lift up guns from the floor and cause them to fire. On top of that, they even have their own powerful ranged attacks.
To defeat a burer, it is crucial not to attack it while it has its blue force field up. Once the force field is down, the player should unload as much ammo as possible into them. Some of the more powerful weapons in the game will take them down fairly easily, but during the early game, these creatures can provide some of thetoughest fights inSTALKER 2.

1Chimera
Extremely Agile And Strong Mutant Hybrids
Chimeras are perhaps the most formidable predators out in The Zone, and they are certainly not ones that players will want to run into while running low on ammo. Thesefast-moving cat-like beastswill charge a leap from long distances, causing immense amounts of damage if their attacks land.
Dealing with them is a matter of staying agile to avoid their attacks, and using shotguns orSMGs to damage them from up close. Using the environment often helps, too, such as hiding in doorways or areas they cannot reach. Fortunately, Chimeras are relatively rare throughout the game and aren’t encountered too often.
