Monopoly GOis keeping the Christmas vibes alive with theGingerbread Partners event, running fromDec 24 to Dec 29. It gives fans an opportunity to team up with their buddies and unlock many awesome rewards.
To play, you need tokens to spin the wheel, and each spin costs 20 tokens. But what if you still have tokens left after the event ends? Let’s explain what happens next.
When a Partner event inMonopoly GOwraps up, all the rewards, milestones, and tokens tied to it disappear. So we recommendusing your tokenswhile the event is still live. This is because these tokens can get you a plethora of valuable rewards like dice, different sticker packs, and even a Wild Sticker. So if you’re close to hitting your next milestone with a partner, attempt to push a little harder and complete it before time runs out.
On the other hand, if you have any tokens left after the Gingerbread Partners event ends on Dec 29, don’t worry because they won’t go to waste. Those leftover tokens will automatically convert into cash. The exact amount you get depends on your board level in Monopoly GO, and you can use it to upgrade your landmarks.
Cash is important if you want to level up yourboards inMonopoly GO. Every board comes with five landmarks, and each landmark needs six upgrades to be fully complete. To move to the next board, you have to max out all the landmarks in your city. It would’ve been great to get dice rolls for leftover tokens, like in theTreasure Hunt events, but unfortunately, that’s not the case here. Still, cash is always handy.
