What to Know About Snacks

Snacks are split into two categories: regular and themed. Regular snacks include the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Treats;they are liked by everyone. Themed snacks are any snack that’s not the Bronze/Silver/Gold Treats, such as the Plain Donut. There are three tiers of themed snacks:

The plain-themed snacks give thelowest number of friendship pointswhile the gourmet-themed snacks give the most. Naturally, plain snacks are easier to get from Gulliver’s Ship than gourmet snacks, which are usually locked to islands that take 6 hours to complete.

Which Snack Should You Give to Animals

How to Give Snacks

Always know the animal’s theme before giving them a snack. Animals get more friendship points when givena treat that matches their theme. If you’re giving Bronze/Silver/Gold Treats, then you don’t have to worry about their theme, since those treats are marked “generic” and liked by all. The Gold Treat gives the most friendship points out of any snack in the game (25 points).

Giving x10 Gold Treats to a level 1 animal will elevate them to level 15.

If you’re not sure what the animal’s theme is, you can check by tapping the animal icon at your campsite/cabin. There will be a theme icon displayed near their name. If you’re speaking to an animal on the map (aka not at your campsite), then you can search for them in your Contacts or check their theme at Pete’s Parcel Service.

To give a treat to an animal, tap them on the screenand choose"Have a snack!". You’ll notice this dialogue option is always highlighted in red. This means you’ll get friendship points each time you give them a gift.
