Honkai: Star Railhas a diverse cast of characters, with many of them traveling across the cosmos to visit and live on different planets. The best example of this is the recent Penacony arc, where guests from various worlds visited to attend the Charmony Festival and experience the land of dreams for themselves. But with a newHonkai: Star Railupdate that’s coming up soon, this character pattern might change.
Honkai: Star RailVersion 3.0 will be the debut of the fourth planet, Amphoreus, which is said to be a mysterious world that’s virtually unknown to everyone. Trailblazer and the rest of the Astral Express Crew may most likely be the first people to land on the planet after thousands of years, and it’s still unknown if other characters, like the Stellaron Hunters, will show up. So, it’s possible thatHonkai: Star Rail’s story might focus solely on Amphoreus-based characters in the next few months.
Amphoreus May Not Easily Open Up to Honkai: Star Rail Characters From Other Worlds
According to available lore, mortals and gods waged war against each other for over a millennium in Amphoreus. Now, a prophecy states that a group of chosen people called the Chrysos Heirs are destined to pluck the gods' Coreflames (or to “Flame-Chase”) and uphold the world.Honkai: Star Railhas already revealed eight out of the 12 members of the faction, who are all expected to be playable from Version 3.0 onward, including the upcoming 5-star banner character Aglaea.
Apart from the Astral Express Crew, the only known characters who are stepping foot onto Amphoreus are Black Swan and Sunday because they’re onboard the train. Considering how hidden and isolated the planet is, it might be difficult for characters from other worlds to enter Amphoreus, so the essential characters in the new arc would likely be inhabitants of the planet.
There is speculation that The Herta, aka Herta’s real form, might also show up in Amphoreus because she’s also a5-star banner character inHonkai: Star RailVersion 3.0. However, the game has yet to confirm her role in the upcoming story.
It’s not unusual forHonkai: Star Railto introduce characters from a single location. The Xianzhou Wardance arc is a classic example because it mostly featured characters from the Xianzhou Alliance, such as Feixiao and Yunli. As mentioned, the game already teased multiple characters from Amphoreus – although their star levels are still under wraps, they’re likely enough to cover the extent of the Amphoreus storyline.
Known Chrysos Heirs
The challenge forHonkai: Star Railis to make sure that the character designs are unique and match the planet’s Ancient Greek influences. In the past, many fans criticized HoYoverse for thelack of variety inHonkai: Star Rail’s character design, particularly those from Xianzhou territories. Initial teasers for Amphoreus' characters seem to show a lot of promise, especially since they’re likely based on gods and heroes from Greek mythology, which could also play a role in their backstories and skill sets.
The prospect of Amphoreus being an undiscovered planet is pretty exciting because HoYoverse can surprise everyone with unique characters and locations. Many fans also believe thatHonkai: Star Railmight introduce more alternate versions ofHonkai Impact 3rdcharacters during this arc because of the Chrysos Heirs' connection to Flame-Chasers.Honkai Impact 3rd’s Flame-Chasersare a group of super soldiers created with the genes of powerful Honkai Beasts.
