Summary

World of Warcrafthas moved Alyx, the NPC in charge of the Guest Relation mystery questlines from the 20th anniversary celebration, to Dornogal, where they still accept missing Celebration Crates. Though the Guest Relations questline itself is no longer available, this has ensuredWorld of Warcraftplayers can still obtain the Detective title – and begin the hunt for the elusive Felcycle mount – indefinitely.

The20th anniversary event forWorld of Warcrafthas come and gone, taking with it all the activities, rewards, and buffs fans enjoyed for almost three months. The Caverns of Time have returned to normal as well, with all the NPCs that had populated the celebration venue disappearing along with the decorations.

However, one of these NPCs isn’t actually gone. Alyx – the NPC who players help during the Guest Relations mystery questlines – has moved to the hot springs northwest of the Delver’s Headquarters building in Dornogal, leading up to the Foundation Hall. Sporting a new “Volunteer Event Coordinator, Among Other Things” title, they also brought their trusty board of notes that hint at the locations of Celebration Crates hidden around the world. Players who find all 11 of these hidden objects can return them to Alyx in Dornogal to obtain the Crate Insurance Agent, No Crate Left Behind, and Azeroth’s Greatest Detective achievements – and more importantly, the Detective title, which unlocks the ability to start themystery that leadsWorld of Warcraftfans to Incognitro, the Indecipherable Felcycle mount.

Players previously knew that the Incognitro secret quests would be available after the anniversary event, but because the Detective title is required to get the Dalaran Survivor in Dornogal to start the mystery, many assumed they would have to get the Azeroth’s Greatest Detective achievement before it ended. Moving Alyx to Donorgal, and allowing fans to turn in Celebration Crates indefinitely, ensures no players will ever be fully locked out of obtaining this rare mount.

Unfortunately, the rest of theGuest Relations quests fromWoW’s 20th anniversaryare no longer available, as most relied heavily on the event grounds. This means the Assistant to the Assistant Guest Relations Manager and I Saved the Party and All I Got Were These Lousy Hats achievements can no longer be completed, and their Thinking Cap transmogs are now unobtainable. It seems unlikely thatWorld of Warcraftwill ever bring back this particular storyline, though it may add alternative ways to earn the rewards in the future.
