Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition Will Add New Story Elements

The original game ended on a cliffhanger, but the definitive edition promises new story segments, potentially continuing the unresolved ending.Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Editionis one of themost ambitious and expansive RPGs on Nintendo consoles. Beyond the primary mission of the BLADE, the user-controlled character tasked with finding the Lifehold, players must also explore Mira, plant probes, and battle both native and alien creatures to secure humanity’s new home.

On the Wii U,Xenoblade Chronicles Xused the console’s GamePadextensively, functioning as both a map that continuously tracked the character’s surroundings and a tool for interactions in single-player and online multiplayer modes. The new trailer offered glimpses of how these interactions have been streamlined for the Switch. The GamePad interface has been transferred to a dedicated menu. There’s now a mini-map in the upper-right corner, similar to otherXenobladetitles, and other UI elements previously found on the GamePad have now been relocated to the main screen. Overall, the UI doesn’t appear cluttered, though this adaptation may slightly alter the dynamics of the definitive version compared to the original.
