Wuthering Waveshas some of the best character designs in the Gacha space. Not only the designs, but characters feel alive with their mechanics and complex style of combat. However, some characters are stuck in the lower tiers ofWuthering Wavesbecause of their gameplay which is either outdated or doesn’t have enough purpose.
Take Yangyang, for example. She’s stuck between the Sub-DPS and Supportive roles, and she’s not the best in both of them. Her damage is underwhelming compared to other Sub-DPS units while her Supportive abilities are also lacking against other Support units. Nevertheless, she does do her job in the early games, if players manage to create thebest Yangyang build inWuWa.
Yangyang Best Echo In Wuthering Waves
Yangyang performs better as a Support inWuthering Waves. For that,it’s essential to build her with Moonlit Clouds. The set helps her buff the next incoming character, giving her an extra Supportive ability. If you go with the Moonlit Clouds set, it’s alsoimportant to equip Impermanence Heron as her main echosince it will further buff the next incoming character. Moreover,you may use Bell-Borne Geochelone as a main echoas it generally protects and helps the team if you don’t have anyone using it already.
That being said,Yangyang can also perform as a Sub-DPSif she’s a part ofquick-swap teams inWuthering Waves. If you’re building Yangyang with a Sub-DPS build,give her the Sierra Gale set to maximize her Aero DMG. Additionally, if you build Yangyang with Sierra Gale, then you may’t use Impermanence Heron or other Supportive Main Echoes anymore. Give herFeilian Beringal as her main echosince it will deal a lot of damage and increase her Aero DMG.
As a Support,Yangyang’s most important stat is Energy Regenas you want to get her on the field, cast her Resonance Liberation, and trigger her Outro.She’s also a mediocre damage dealer, sobuilding her Crit and Aero DMG isn’t a bad investment, especially if you’re building her as a Sub-DPS, then these stats become essential.
Yangyang Best Weapons In Wuthering Waves
Yangyang needs to spend as little time as possible on the field, so, you have to make the most of her Concerto Energy. If she’s operating as a Support, then, consider Overture as her best weapon since it gives her a whopping 51% Energy Regen alongside regenerating her Concerto Energy.
If you’re building Yangyang as a Sub-DPS, the 5-star Swords, Blazing Brilliance or Emerald of Genesis, becomes her top priority since it grants her a decent amount of Crit Rate and ATK%, which is what any DPS needs. Yangyang can also wield Lunar Cutter orCommando of Conviction as 4-star Swords. These weapons grant her a lot of ATK% that helps her deal more damage.
Yangyang Forte Priority In Wuthering Waves
Yangyang suffers from not having any important skills since all of them carry mediocre to low damage. Not to mention, she operates better as a Support, which means, it’s all about collecting enemies in one spot and triggering her Outro by completing her Concerto Energy as soon as possible. For that, she doesn’t really need any Skill leveling up.
On the other hand, if you decide tobuild Yangyang as a Sub-DPS, then prioritize her Resonance Liberation as it carries the largest amount of damage. Both her Resonance Skill and Forte Circuit can be next as they have almost the same values for her DPS.
