Earlier this month, fans ofNetflix’s hit psychological thriller,You, were heartbroken when they noticed the “Coming Soon” designation forYouwas removed. They took it as a sign that the final season would be delayed. However, the streaming giant which previously announced thatYouSeason 5would be released in 2025, doubled down on its previous statement by releasing a new poster with “2025” written on it, suggesting that there were no changes when it came to the show’s release date.
Yourofficial Netflix account shared two posters on Instagram. The first one features a torn newspaper with Joe’s face in the middle, seemingly taking a peek. It includes photos of the numerous individuals who crossed paths with Joe throughout the four seasons, and most of them were dead, includingLove Quinn(Victoria Pedretti), Tom Lockwood (Greg Kinnear), Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail), and Delilah Alves (Carmela Zumbado). The only persons alive in the pictures were Nadia (Amy-Leigh Hickman), whom Joe framed for the murder of her boyfriend, Edward, and Marienne Bellamy (Tati Gabrielle), whom Joe abandoned after presuming she was dead. However, Marienne only took beta-blockers to look dead and after Joe left her body, Nadia injected her with a stimulant to wake her up. The second snap is a bigger frame with similar snaps from the first one, and it includes Beck’s book “The Dark Face of Love,” red lipstick, a watch, heart-shaped glasses similar to what Candace (Ambyr Childers) wore, and other disturbing mementos from his victims.
Both posters had some letters encircled or colored red. In the first photo, the text reads, “Secrets do not stay buried” and in the second one, it reads “goodbye.” The posters also include the year 2025, suggesting that theanticipated final season ofYouwill not be delayed and will be released in the streamer next year. However, despiteYouadding the year, many fans were still disappointed because there was no actual date. So, it remains unclear when the show will be released. It could come out early or later next year. Initially, many believed it would be released in February sinceYouSeason 4was released two years earlier, but that remained to be seen. “We all know it’s 2025! The question is WHEN IN 2025?” one fan commented on the post with a crying emoji.
YouSeason 5 is one of the most anticipated shows on Netflix. It’s such a relief that the show is coming out in 2025 and that there are no changes when it comes to its release date. However, it’s pretty disappointing that Netflix can’t give it an actual premiere date. Joe’s thrilling adventure is a must-see, and fans are eager to see how his complex journey will end. Will Joe pay for the murder he did or would he have a happy ending with Kate Galvin (Charlotte Ritchie)?
