While fans have expressed excitement for both characters, Astra Yao’s announcement has greatly eclipsed Evelyn’s, since the singer has been heavily mentioned inZenless Zone Zerolore for months. Now, it seems HoYoverse is planning on helping players acquire their desired character more easily, according to a new leak.
Prominent communityleaker Flying Flame has reportedthatZenless Zone Zerowould be giving away 30 pulls to all players in Version 1.5 to celebrate the New Year. In every update, the RPG gives players 10 free pulls for logging in for seven days. However, per the leak, Version 1.5 will feature two log-in events, each with a 10-pull reward. Moreover, Flying Flame revealed that an extra 10 pulls should be delivered to fans via in-game mail. This amounts to a total of 30 free Encrypted Master Tapes for players. The leak does not specify whether all these rewards will arrive as soon as Version 1.5 goes live, but the free pulls could give fans a headstart forZenless Zone Zero’s next limited banners.

Until now,Zenless Zone Zerohas only launched two limited banners per patch, given that its S-Rank roster was not large enough for more. Earlier leaks suggested that the game’s next update would be the first to feature four limited character banners. The first half would have Astra Yao and Ellen’s banner and the second half would feature Evelyn and Zhu Yuan. On the other hand,Zenless Zone Zerowill reportedly release a new skin for Nicole, which could be free in Version 1.5.
Zenless Zone Zero’s 1.5 update is set for launch in late January 2025, so fans will have to wait for HoYoverse to confirm the rumored free pulls.
